People Who Snubs Local Education

Or Anything Local For That Matter.

These days I kept hearing ppl insulting out local education system. Saying that there is no standard no value no recognition...bla bla...even one of my friends seemed to think that way.

She's all like "Studying in Malaysia is so lame I cant wait to go to the US.Serena, perhaps you should just quit USM and come to the States with me".

All I said was "Haha....I cant afford it.USM is not so bad you know".
She said "Ya lah but US is way much better...here the government help students to score its like you don't know who's good and who's not."

I shurgged her off.

But hey you wanna know what i think? If the education in Malaysia is so lame and there is no standard in it, let me ask you? Did u get outstanding results for your SPM? Oh Don't give me BS where you got straight A's in PMR, I dont care bout PMR. Cause why? I knew she gotten only 4A's out of 10 in her SPM...barely half. Does she have the right to say anything bout the lame education here?I don't think so...if in a lame education u get such poor results what would it be like if u go to the ALL-SO-GREAT UNITED STATES? Before u judge smth pls judge yoursef first. Yea you are well off, ur family can pay for u to study in US. But to me you will always be a spoilt brat. I know the person I mentioned here reads my blog occasionally if u remember saying those words to me... yea I'm refering to you. So what?

Let me tell you smth USM may not be the best UNI in the world but at least I work my ass off for a place in it, I don't pay a large sum of money to get in and I'm trying my best.Compare to you....well...

Let Me Tell You A Story

Let me tell you a story. It goes like this...

There was a young university student. A young girl barely 20 years old. Like any other students, she worked hard to earn a place in University, a place given to those who excel academically with their own hard work and not to those whose parents simply have the money to buy them in.

She's not a nerd who studies 24/7. She likes to hang out with her friends and sometimes with her friends 'help one another' during quizzes or during short tests. At times she's content with her life while others she just wished she was never born.

Today is one of the 'others'. Chinese New Year is a week ahead and she's suppose to be having fun. But God forbid. her lecturers have to shower upon the students 4 tests, 2 assignment and a project. All which has to be submitted or conducted on the week right after CNY.

The girl's name is Serena Saw Wei Ping.

Things I've Learnt So Far

1) Guys will most probably stop paying you as much attention when they have gfs and you're only one of their friends.

2)Don 't compare or let anyone compare your bf to somebody else's. When they do just tell them you cant date that many ppl at the same time.

3) No matter how much time your lecturer gives you time for an assignment it will still be done at the very last second possible.

4)Ppl who live very far away fr campus wish with all their hearts to go back but ppl who live just a few miles away will not go back no matter how hard you try to persuade them.

5)70% of ppl who come to you and say they don;t know how to do smth actually havent even look at it yet let alone trying to solve it.

6)The more time spent away fr your family make you realise how little you do things for them when you're with them.
